Eye lid surgery involves removing excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids resulting in a more rejuvenated and youthful appearance. Often patients complain that everyone tells them that they look tired all of the time. As we age, our eyes can start having excess bagginess and wrinkles. All of this can have the effect of making us look tired and old. Through incisions that are usually well concealed, the skin around the eye can be tightened and excess fat “bags” contoured or removed. The down time on a Blepharoplasty is usually 3-4 days. The procedure itself can be done with local anesthesia and sedation. Patients are able to go home on the day of the procedure.
